Homewood Suites by Hilton at Hopkins Plaza is a 80,000 sq ft hotel with 114extended stay rooms and a 5,000 sq ft restaurant in Columbia, MD budgeted around $15,000,000.

Situated just off of route 29 and adjacent to the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), this property has a constant client basis and great visibility.   Star originally bought one parcel of land with the intent to build a smaller hotel for this market.  After reviewing the market trends, APL’s expansion plans and the feasibility analysis, Star immediately purchased the adjoining lot.  By combining the two parcels of land Star is now able to create a new 114 room Homewood Suites with an attached 5,000 square foot restaurant. 

The Homewood Suites by Hilton is a new prototype model to the Mid Atlantic region.  This extended stay product has upgraded amenities including an indoor pool, a hearth room, exterior patio, sports court and a large multi-purpose room.  Each suite contains a kitchen with a work area, a bedroom, a living area and a bathroom, providing the extended stay customer all of the luxury’s of home.
