The Hilton Garden Inn is a 60,000 sq ft hotel with 98 rooms and surface parking located at the intersection of Route 100 and Snowden River Parkway in Columbia, MD with a total cost of over $15,000,000.

The development of the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia was one of our most difficult projects due to the stringent requirements by Howard County and the Rouse Company.The Rouse Company refused to even discuss the potential for Star to develop a hotel in one of their developments until Star assured them that they had the necessary strength, capital and capabilities to develop a Hilton brand in Columbia.

Star was the first mover in this new subdivision on Route 100 and Snowden River Parkway, ahead of all other major developments and played a valuable role in working with Rouse Company to design the master planned, and currently thriving, business district.

Star completed the hotel in June 2003, as scheduled, within 11 months of starting, and within the project budget.
